Thank you to everyone who came along to our Little Owls group on Wednesday afternoons (from 2-3pm) last year. We were so encouraged by the number of parents, grandparents and childminders who brought along their little ones for a very enjoyable afternoon. We hope you are looking forward to this year’s events as much as we are and don’t forget to invite others as well! Check out the gallery here on our website for some pictures.
This year’s dates are:
A massive WELL DONE to both our P4-7 choir and P1-4 choir on Thursday and Friday this week for their wonderful performances at the Ballymena Festival. The adjudicator gave us some lovely comments and we are very proud of each and every one of them for standing on the stage in the Braid with huge smiles on their faces and singing so well!
A reminder to all parents and friends that out P4-7 choir will be performing at the festival in the Braid Centre on Thursday 3rd March at 9.30am and our P1-3 choir will be performing on Friday 4th March at 11.00am.
We are really looking forward to Monday 7th March when we will be celebrating World Book Day. Come to school dressed as a character from a story you like and enjoy a day in school doing lots of wonderful things to do with books. You never know what other surprises there might be as well!
We would like you to meet our very own Longstone Bear. Huge thanks Ciara who kindly presented us with it last week. Our last bear was borrowed kindly off Mrs Kirkpatrick so we are so pleased to now have our very own!
We held a whole school competition to choose a name for our own bear and the winner was chosen by Mrs Kirkpatrick. Well done Evie who chose the name ‘Bobby”.
Look out for the sequel to Longstone Bear and see the adventures of Bobby in the not to distant future 🙂
