We are delighted to announce the official appointment of Mrs Moody as our new Principal. Having been in post as Acting Principal for the past year, we are confident that Mrs Moody will be a continued asset in our school and we look forward to an exciting future under her leadership.
We are very pleased to announce that in September we will be taking part in the Ulster Scots Flagship Schools Programme. As part of this, we had 2 taster days where the children got to learn about Ulster Scots history, language, bagpipes, fiddle, tin whistle, Lambeg drums, Scottish Country dancing and Highland dancing. We are really looking forward to getting started learning more about some of these areas 🙂

A massive WELL DONE to all our boys and girls for the effort they put in over the past number of weeks on their entries from both home and school for the Ballymena Show Baking, Art, Craft and Writing competitions. We are so pleased to have won the JANE’S KITCHEN Cup for the school who gained the most number of points with 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for another year running. Keep up the fantastic work 🙂
At Longstone we try to promote healthy eating. On ‘Fruity Fridays’, we ask that pupils bring a healthy snack to school. We will also be running a ‘Healthy Break Week’ each term. The dates and themes for these are shown below:
